Over 10 boundary-pushing years, Nic Chagall and Bossi have evolved Cosmic Gate into one of the most creative and highly-sought-after electronic music acts in the world. Revered uber-producers, their musical acumen has seen them become long-term favourites of the trance’s Big 5 DJs with their 4 hugely-received albums transporting anthems like ‘Body of Conflict’, ,Not Enough Time’, ‘I Feel Wonderful’, ,F.A.V.’, ‘Analog Feel’, or the classics ‘Exploration of Space’ and Fire Wire to the dancefloor. As DJs, their kinetic, blood-pumping live performances are seen by hundreds of thousands of club and festival goers annually. Playing a 100 nights every year, it’s this ever-visible club presence that saw them reach their highest position to-date on the DJ Mag Top 100, landing as highest climbers at No.19 in 2009.
From his early beginnings in the music industry, Victor Dinaire has embraced hard work and dedication as the road to success. Immersing himself in every facet of the industry – from handing out flyers to packing mailers as a record label intern, Victor’s humble roots have provided unique insight into what it takes to be successful both on the stage and off.
With records out on Armin Van Buuren’s Armada, Paul Van Dyk’s Vandit and U.S. mega-label Ultra, while holding a coveted residency with West Coast power-house promoter Giant. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she’s been DJing to thousands of crazy clubbers since 2002, coast-to-coast in the U.S. and around the world—from China to Ecuador, the Philippines to Guatemala and Canada to Costa Rica—along with being handpicked to play Coachella, North America’s biggest music festival, sharing the stage with legendary acts like Madonna, Daft Punk and Gabriel & Dresden. Her guest mixes and popular radio show, TrAnCelATe, are heard by the masses—broadcasting via satellite, FM and the internet.

Take a classic weekend bash at Avalon. Now triple its awesome factor (scratch that, we meant quadruple. Oh, what the heck…quintuple), and you’ve got the venue’s exceptionally anticipated Memorial Day weekend line up.
The duo of Cosmic Gate (Claus Terhoeven aka Nic Chagall, and Stefan Bossems) will head up an evening of heady happiness, propelling their rightly famed sensation of sounds right to the core of both you and the party. And if you’re familiar with their chart topper, ‘Flying Blind’, you’re already clued into the next gem on the line up: Jes. An award-winning vocalist, songwriter, and producer – and one who’s collaborated with the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, and Kaskade – Jes is known for her creative, can’t-be-pinned-down approach to EDM. In other words, she’s one to keep us on our toes – and that’s just one of the countless reasons we (not to mention millions across the globe) love her.
Emma Hewitt is another name that always manages to heat us up in a few sultry seconds – and we’re thrilled to see her on Avaland’s weekend line-up. Known for her versatile and angelic trance vocals, the Australian singer and songwriter has been a prominent talent in the dance scene for years – not to mention, a #1 hitter on the Global Trance Charts, and winner of an International Dance Music Award at the 2010 Winter Music Conference in Miami). And if that weren’t enough to get you sizzling in your dance shoes, the Cary Brothers and Wippenberg will be topping off the weekend’s line up with their can’t-get-enough-of, top notch beats.
Something tells us it’s going to be a great weekend.
