The concept of a DJ duo is nothing new but with recent advances in Internet technology we are seeing more and more DJs teaming up to make music from different cities. Or in the case of Project46, different countries. Ryan Henderson and Thomas Shaw live on opposite coasts of Canada and The US, respectively, but use Skype, screen sharing, file sharing, and endless passion and dedication to keep their music alive and growing. In less than 2 years the pair have gone from complete strangers to one of the hottest DJs acts around. They made DJ Mag’s Top 100 list and just toured Asia with Kaskade. And the best part is that none of the success has let them forget their fans. Every week ends in Pancake Friday when they give their fans a remix, mashup, or other musical jam as a thank you for their support.
