The Russian dance music master Bobina is back at Avalon! We got the opportunity to interview him!

Avalon Hollywood :: Attn! We are now interviewing @BobinaMusic who is playing at #Avaland on Saturday! How are you doing on this lovely day??

Bobina :: Helloooo LA!!! Its 2 AM in Moscow but i’m not really sleepy! still working and now going to talk to you! how r u?

Avalon Hollywood :: we are doing well! Thank you for your dedication!! Let’s get started: If you could open or perform with any artist (dead or alive) who would it be? Why?

Bobina :: Well lemme dream & name a few know pop names! i think Kylie could be great for club music! Same as Robbie Williams  Why? 1st of all – imo their voices should sound great in progressive house or even maybe trance!

Avalon Hollywood :: @BobinaMusic ”should sound” You should get everyone together and do it! What has been your biggest track of the year?

Bobina :: For me its Hardwell “Spaceman” – truly big tune in almost all my sets since feb. 2012

Avalon Hollywood :: oo that is a good one! @Hardwell was on it with#Spaceman! What’s your guiltiest after-gig meal?

Bobina :: Its Hotel breakfast i’m a big fan of any hotel breakfasts. After a show i get to hotel usually 5-6am, have a shower then after it around 7am i go down to eat a breakfast and only after that i get to bed

Avalon Hollywood :: sounds like some long nights! Bet the breakfast hits the spot! If you weren’t a DJ, what other career would you be doing?

Bobina :: probably a finance manager as I finished the university of finance here in Moscow. Was a great time to be a student

Avalon Hollywood :: nothing like college days! How did you get into electronic music?

Bobina :: i was a big fan of rock tbh. then someday i heard@arminvanbuuren ’s set on piracy CD and thought “wow! my style of music”

Avalon Hollywood ::  he has that special tone that calls to people. What’s your best drunken story?

Bobina :: i guess the best ones i dont really remember haha. But i remember LA few years ago and me dancing in the bar on the table together with another deejay..dont wanna mention his name but you guys know him for sure. He did a remix of my tune in 2009

Avalon Hollywood :: yes, the best nights are the forgotten ones! Dancing on bars is a guaranteed good time. What’s the craziest thing to happen during one of your gigs?

Bobina :: craziest usually happens after the shows. One morning i found a girl in my hotel room. She got there somehow while i was sleeping. She was sitting on my bed and cried ‘i will kill you now”. Then i called a police. She was really drunked.. and i still have no idea how she got into my room. Now it sounds funny already but that time it really wasnt

Avalon Hollywood :: wow. That is definitely crazy.. Bizarre. At least you are safe! On a lighter note.. have you been able to find a genre to label your sets yet? If so what is it?

Bobina :: a lot of people call me “A trance deejay”. Actually its not like this and never was like this. I play progressive house and tracks with “trancey feelings”. i call it like this. Never played like 138BPM trance in my sets.But genres its the past. for many years already i always answered simple “I play electronic music. or EDM – its nowdays modern to say like this haha

Avalon Hollywood :: agreed, everything is blending lately! Last question! Can you leave us with 3 words to describe your set this weekend?

Bobina ::  Electronic Dance Music i can’t wait for#RGC200 in Avalon. Great place to be! Amazing crowd and city.. Also this show means a lot 4 me as we’ll celebrate 200th episode of “Russia Goes Clubbing”-my radioshow. check outhttp://itunes.bobina.info :)
