Menno de Jong!
We love a lineup with Menno de Jong’s name on it – after all, it’s a sure sign that pleasure is on its way. So, it only goes to say that we’re pumped beyond words for his Avalon set this Saturday (but then again, our dance moves will be doing all the talking).
Taking an interest in his native Amsterdam’s EDM scene when he was only 17, De Jong has since accomplished, adapted, and delivered his talent in a way that’s none other than remarkable. He has recorded on some of Europe’s most prominent trance labels, performed in over 25 countries (including at events like Creamfields, Sensation White, Love Parade in Berlin, Amnesia in Ibiza and the Winter Music Festival in Miami, FL), and performed alongside names like Armin van Buuren, The Prodigy, Tiësto and Paul van Dyk. In 2004, he launched his own record label, Intuition Recordings, followed by his Intuition Radio show in 2005 (a project which he currently produces and presents for). All the while, he’s been topping music charts galore and stacking up music accolades the world over. And the guy’s not even 30 yet.
So, what does it all amount to? Clearly, a whole lot of delight on your Saturday night. But don’t take our word for it; like us, we think what happens to you on the dance floor will speak for itself.

Rise and Shine
Two of house music’s hottest will convene on Avalon’s stage this Saturday – and it’s safe to say there’s no containing ourselves this time. Mention Miguel Migs, and heads are hoisted into a cloud of soulful reggae, dub, and funk collaborations. Dabble in the doings of DJ Dan, and you’re met with decades of distinctive underground style influenced by everything from jazz to disco. Now mingle somewhere in the midst of them both, and you’re really in for some downright good music. Revel in the genius of it all as Avaland kicks off a special afterhours set from 9:30 pm on Saturday ‘til 7:00 am on Sunday (‘rise and shine’ will take on a whole new meaning).
